Located in the heart of Orange, NSW, Duntryleague Golf Club is one of the region’s most recognised and historic sporting and hospitality venues. Established in the early 1900s, the club is well known for its championship golf course, heritage clubhouse and traditional architecture, making preservation and maintenance works particularly important when upgrades and repairs are undertaken.
The team at Dunbar Scaffold Hire recently completed a specialised access project at the club to support critical roof leak repairs and ceiling replacement works within the café and stairwell areas.
This project required a carefully engineered access solution due to the age and condition of the existing roof structure. With sections of the roof being more than 100 years old and finished with original shingle tiles beneath the roof sheeting, it was essential that minimal weight was placed directly onto the roof surface during the works.
Our team designed and installed a counter-levered access solution to safely reach the work areas while reducing loading on the fragile roof structure and help protect the underlying shingles during access and repair works.
Externally, we supplied and erected roof access scaffold and temporary handrail protection to provide safe access to a skylight and chimney requiring repair above the undercover café seating area.
The project required detailed planning, careful load management and close coordination with other trades to ensure the works could be completed safely while preserving the integrity of the heritage roof structure and minimising disruption to club operations.
Projects like this demonstrate the importance of experience and tailored scaffold solutions when working on older commercial and heritage-style buildings.
At Dunbar Scaffold Hire, we continue to provide safe, compliant and practical Layher scaffold solutions for commercial maintenance, refurbishment and specialised access projects across regional NSW.
